The Heart of Darkness Batch 11 will be released tomorrow — Sunday, November 27th at 1pm Eastern. Limit one per person. $180 per 375ml. No 187ml, 200ml or 750ml bottles were produced with our 2022 release.

The fruit is manually harvested during the hottest days of the year. The fruit is picked in multiple passes at the peak of ripeness. All mead is fermented in small 5 gallon batches and aged in glass demijohns. The Heart of Darkness is unfined and unfiltered. It’s racked, transferred, and bottled by gravity. Each bottle is corked with ultra-premium ND Tech guaranteed TCA-free corks, then hand-waxed, signed and numbered by Ken Schramm. A true labor of love — worth every minute of work.

Thankful Release Details
This week especially, we extend our gratitude to our Mazer Club Members. ‘Thankful’ is Schramm’s Cranberry Apple Mead in its second iteration — an expression of our gratitude for the overwhelming support we have received over the past decade. Bottles will be available to Annual Mazers on Sunday, November 27th at 1pm Eastern. Only 101 bottles total were produced, 89 released. 12 will remain for QA/QC and family library. We’re very sorry that there aren’t enough for all Mazers, that’s a little bit Crapple of us. We will be sure to make batch three of Cranberry Apple larger!
